Kia brings the sting with the launch of the new Kia Stinger – and it’s not for the faint of heart. The all-new Stinger certainly took everyone by surprise when it was revealed in 2017.

Bred on the track. Made for the journey. The all-new Stinger strikes the perfect balance of power and refinement, featuring your choice of two turbocharged engines matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Works on the Stinger began back in 2011 as a GT Concept, a four-door gran turismo inspired by the likes of the Maserati Ghibli.  It’s a four-door sportback design, styled by Gregory Guillaume at Kia’s German design studio. As described by the man himself, “a true gran turismo, a car for spirited long-distance driving, is not about outright power, hard-edged dynamics and brutal styling, all at the expense of luxury, comfort and grace.” 

Kia’s latest contender brings powerful performance at a budget-friendly price. This lean machine can go from 0-60 mph in as low as 4.7 seconds. It boasts up to 365 horsepower and 376 lb.-ft. of torque. The Stinger’s base engine is a 255-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four. A 365-hp twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 is optional.

Both models are equipped with an eight-speed automatic, either rear – or all – wheel drive. It comes along with a 7.0-inch touchscreen as well. Available additions include an adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist. Along with that, you can opt for a 15-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system to kick off your jam!
